CLASS SIZE LIMITED TO 8 STUDENTS - Prerequisite: Voice Over Experience

This class challenges voice actors in dubbing techniques. We will learn different content and perform more than one character at times in the same project, making sure you are able to change your vocal quality. We will prepare you to dub live action content, including reality programs, animation and anime to further your sync perfection and speed in the studio. As a bonus will will also have a mock walla (aka looping) session for the entire class!

What We Will Cover - Dubbing Intensive:

• UN and in-sync voice dubbing in real-life sessions including VoiceQ.
• Anime and Animation Series and Feature dubbing.
• How to gain confidence in order to increase your speed and sync in a session.
• Expand your vocal range and create believable characters.
• What is expected of you in a professional dubbing session, including technical and session etiquette. 
• What it takes to be hired and re-hired in the dubbing world.
• Interfacing with a professional recordist in the dubbing environment.
• Engineer in all sessions to help guide you with their personal tips and tricks.
  

Paulette Lifton is a multi-Emmy and MPSE winning Sound/ADR Supervisor on shows like Kung Fu Panda, SpongeBob Squarepants and the hit Netflix show Blue Eye Samurai. She was Co-Producer and Casting Director of the animated series, Spy Kids: Mission Critical for Netflix. Ms. Lifton was also the casting and voice director on multiple animated and live-action features for Netflix, Amazon and Starz including the Academy Award-nominated films Lion and Carol. She voice-directed some of the top actors in the business; Meryl Streep, Ed Norton, Jim Gaffigan, Julie Andrews, Kate McKinnon, Elle Fanning, Nat Wolff and Mel Brooks. Her dubbing casting and voice directing career spans both English and Spanish live action, animation and anime on Netflix, Paramount, HBO and Amazon Prime.

Mimi Maynard is a voice and casting director of her six 3D theatrical animated features she produced for Studio Canal, Summit and Lionsgate with her films winning Best Feature Film Cartoon and the Trophee du European for animation. Ms. Maynard handled the Celebrity casting, voice direction and development on all her films. Independently, she cast the feature Son of Bigfoot. As an actress herself, she won the ACE award and starred in many studio feature films. Her dubbing career as a casting and voice director is vast with shows on Netflix, HBO and Apple TV along with her looping career with credits on Zootopia, Frozen, Spiderman, and Desperate Housewives. She has been voice coaching actors for over a decade who have booked major commercials, starring roles and television series.
