*Mac or Windows computer with Adobe Audition installed. USB or Condenser Mic for recording in a quiet room for the class.

What We Will Cover:

• The class will be hands-on recording and editing in Adobe Audition for Windows and Mac OS X.
• This course teaches you how to record, edit (destructive and non-destructive), and export your audio recordings for professional-sounding auditions and recordings in your home studio.
• You will learn how to navigate Audition's workspace and build a foundational workflow for your projects.
• You will learn to perform basic (destructive and non-destructive) editing tasks using various methods to find the most efficient tools (for you) to create a new project, record, import, playback, edit, and export your audio files with correct audio levels. 
• We will explore the essential editing tools for your auditions and recordings, such as the Move Tool, Razor Tool, Time selection Tool, copying or duplicating clips, pasting audio clips, ripple deleting, splitting clips, merging clips, fades, and crossfades and using the effects rack to improve and refine the quality of your audio.
• We will cover advanced tools in Audition, including how to reduce or remove background noise, add compression, remove short clicks and pops, reduce clipping and distortion, EQ, and improve the overall sound quality- based on the projects parameters.
• We will explore various plug-in options for sound issues with your recordings, such as sibilance, mouth clicks, and noise floor. A discount code from Izotope will be included.
